On the 11th October 2008 WestWays will hold a Used Boat Auction. We believe that this is the first event of this nature in the UK and will help consolidate WestWays' position as one of the largest and most innovative yacht and power boat dealers in the UK. The auction will take place in the Dolphin Room at the Royal Western Yacht Club, Queen Anne's Battery Marina, Plymouth on the 11th October at 10.30am.

Viewings

There will be an opportunity to view the boats in the week before the auction either in the WestWays display area or on the water at Queen Anne's Battery. Westways has arranged for a surveyor to inspect each boat before the auction and he will be available to provide his views for a fee of £75 for each boat during the week before the auction. If you decide to purchase a yacht this fee will be deducted from the cost of the survey should you wish to commission one through the auction surveyor.

How to find us

From A38: Exit the A38 at the Marsh Mills junction (Sainsburys) and follow embankment road into Plymouth (City Centre) keeping the estuary to your left hand side. Eventually the road splits with the right hand lane taking you to Kingsbridge. Do not take this lane, stay left and follow the road under a bridge where another lane will join you on your left. Join this lane and follow untill a right hand bend. On the start of that bend there is a left hand turn that goes immediately through a set of traffic lights and past the Barbican Leisure park (Cinema, Pizza Hut etc) on your left. Continue to the next set of lights and turn left. Then follow the road past a Pub called the 'Fareham Inn' and then take a right on the apex of the left hand bend...QAB in on your left.
From Plymouth City Centre: Follow signs out of Plymouth on Exeter Street and look for a right hand turn for Barbican Leisure Park and Cattedown. This junction is traffic light controlled. Follow the road untill you reach another set of lights with a Vauxhall garage on your left. Go straight over and then turn right on the apex of the left hand bend....QAB is on your left.

Selling Your Boat At Auction - Deadline 3rd Oct

If you are keen to include your boat in the auction then please call a member of the Westways team to discuss. There is an initial charge of £250 to include the boat in the auction and Westways will charge 2.5% commission on the value of any boat sold at the auction. You will be asked to place a realistic reserve on the value of the boat and if offers do not reach this reserve we will contact on the day to see if you are willing to sell the boat to the highest bidder. MDL will make some space available in the marina for boats not kept at Queen Anne's Battery marina to be viewed in the week before the auction. Deadline 3rd Oct for entry.

Westways will prepare a summary of all the boats that will be available for sale at the auction and this catalogue is available for you to download below. Please check this page regularly for updates.

We will also auction a number of chandlery items so even if you are not in the market for a new boat it is worth attending this event!
